Marazzi Group S.r.l. sole shareholder undertakes to make its website accessible, in accordance with Law of January 9, 2004, No. 4. This accessibility statement applies to the website www.marazzi.jp
Compliance status
This website is not compliant with the requirements set out in Appendix A of UNI CEI EN 301549. The cases of non-compliance are listed below.
Non-accessible content
The content listed below is not accessible for the following reason:
non-compliance with Law of January 9, 2004, No. 4.
1. Perception
- Images with text lacking adequate alternatives: Some images containing text do not have sufficiently explanatory descriptions or alternative attributes, compromising content comprehension for users relying on assistive technologies.
- Heading structure not always consistent: On some pages, headings are missing or used in a non-structured way, negatively affecting navigation and page orientation.
- Decorative elements not properly identified: Some purely decorative elements are not appropriately marked, making them perceivable by screen readers and generating redundancies in the reading flow.
- Text contrast with background: In some cases, the color contrast between text and background is not sufficient to ensure easy reading for users with visual impairments or low vision, compromising the perceivability of textual content.
- Content order not always consistent with visual presentation: In some sections of the site, the order in which content is read by assistive technologies or accessed via keyboard does not match the visual order perceived on the screen. This can cause confusion during navigation for users with disabilities, making it more difficult to understand the structure and correctly use the page functionalities.
2. Operability
- Keyboard navigation not always complete: Some menus, buttons, input fields, and modal windows are not fully accessible via keyboard use. In some cases, focus is not managed properly, preventing users from navigating continuously and predictably.
- Focus not always evident: In some cases, when navigating with the keyboard, the visible outline (focus) that should indicate which element is active is absent or insufficiently clear. This can make it difficult for users to understand where they are on the page and interact correctly with content.
- Lack of shortcuts to reach main content: At the beginning of the page, there is no link allowing direct skipping to the main content. In addition, pages are not always coded in a way that makes it easy to understand where different sections begin and end, making orientation more difficult for those using assistive tools.
- Loss of functionality with zoom or window resizing: In some cases, when using the browser zoom function or resizing the site window (e.g., switching from mobile to desktop view and vice versa), some interactive features stop working properly, such as the menu toggle button. To restore functionality, it is necessary to reload the page.
- Animated elements without control: Some carousels do not provide options to pause or stop the animation.
- Links with insufficient descriptions: Some links lack sufficiently descriptive labels, making it less immediate to understand their purpose, especially for those using assistive technologies.
3. Understandability
- Messages not always in the correct language: Some user messages for screen readers are communicated in English instead of Italian, potentially causing comprehension issues.
- Focus management not always consistent: When closing interactive elements (e.g., the filter bar in the collections section), focus does not always return to the element that activated them, possibly causing disorientation. On some pages (store locator), interaction with selection fields triggers a page reload without notice to the user and loss of focus.
- Form input field labels and error management need improvement: In some sections of the site, form fields lack semantically correct or sufficiently informative labels. In addition, error handling and input guidance may not always be adequately communicated, compromising usability for people using assistive technologies.
4. Robustness
- ARIA roles not always complete or correct: Some elements are not properly labeled with names or roles, complicating interaction for those using assistive technologies.
- Status messages not always present or sufficient: Some interface changes are not communicated to users, reducing clarity especially for those relying on assistive technologies.
Drafting of the accessibility statement
